Once this vehicle has been trialed and perhaps after a stint on the X9 & X10, what will the likelihood be of this vehicle being loaned to other operators as a demonstrator?

Don't imagine there's much of a chance of GNE giving out a brand new vehicle as a demo, they'll want it in revenue earning service as much as possible. I can't see a reason why Wright/Bamford wouldn't build a demo if they thought that there was demand for it.

I think it'll probably end up going on a trip down to EY at some point since they're part of GNE, but I can't see it going anywhere else.

That's a good one, perhaps the X46 to compare against the E400MMC on longer journeys.

How does the EY X46 compare to the routes we've got the E400s on up here?
anyone know where this is? Hasn't been in service in ages.
It seems to have reappeared on whatever 'K2' is.
