Not exactly the furthest of moves - that's just a couple of hundred yards further along the road, tucked into the rear corner of the trading estate! Wink

18 vehicle authorisation is four more than it used to be.
Either a little bit of wiggle room or a sign that more work will end up there?

There's rumours that Arriva may be taking over Coastal & Country operations

From a friend who works at C&C that's not true. They gave up most of their operation a few months ago anyway and pretty much only retain one school and the open top town tour buses now anyway. I think Esk Valley took on most of the school work around Whitby.

Sounds as though Arriva have taken the opportunity to move into the spare space at C&C's yard, which may also give them access to whatever engineering facilities are there to support PSVs.

I may be wrong, but I believe Arriva have actually bought the site and now own it. C&C now lease space to continue running the smaller number of buses.
Worth noting that the Whitby transfer has now taken place.
