Thought it had been scrapped due to a chassis problem. Along with 1401/2 these seemed to get better with age. 1401 is the only bus at Blyth depot capable of doing 60mph.

HGVT have been providing extra training buses and instructors to Arriva for a couple of years now.

The one I saw was a single decker.

Yeah they’ve been using an E200 and E400 at Ashington for a while now helping with extra capacity. Similarly Stanley Travel are often working out of Stockton depot for extra training capacity there too.
