Of course he does, but guessing we’ll have to wait and see.  Tongue

Would of thought Riverside as the Quaylink are 2 buses down due to the Nightingale Hospital Shuttle and it has citaros to get rid of for the CAZ when it eventually comes into place.
Interesting acquisition to take a single 7+ year old bus on from outside of the group?

The 11.7m Versas are pretty solid and reliable buses which can easily be upgraded to Euro 6 with existing suppliers - despite being 7+ years old, they're still younger than the Citaros and OmniCitys they'll replace.

Yep, no denying they're pretty solid. A decent bus from a customer perspective too, I'd say.

I just found it a tad unusual when sourced from outside the group, when most second hand acquisitions that I can think of have been internal. Unless there's a general shortage of suitable surplus buses within the group of course.

You would've thought there was something free that could've been brought up from London for example wouldn't you.

Looks like we are going to see a fare few odd balls joining the fleet in the coming weeks/months ahead.

To be fair I think only services that need to be converted to Euro 6 are as follows 6/6A/12/12A/33/57/58/Q1 & Q2, I'd expect to see the remaining 11 reg Versa's to be converted to 6 unless the plan on moving some of the Euro 6 Streetlites from Deptford/Stanley about.

I think this is probably to avoid having to take buses off the Diamond/Black Cats as it wouldn't be a good look these clean buses being moved off for older dirtier vehicles. Not that that's stopped Stagecoach/Arriva, mind.

1/1A*, 25, 74, 91 and 327 aswell.

* I know they're getting reengined but the speed it's going the LEZ will be in beforehand.

Still wouldn't be surprised to see some routes curtailed at Gateshead personally. Q1/Q2 which hasn't been rebranded being the one I'd go for. The 58 is getting electric buses at some point aswell unless they've been cancelled.

Will the 25 not end up with 6043-48 if 6084-86 become TVT?
Seems to of been renumbered to 8347
8347 has transferred to Deptford and has been on the 55 services today from what bustimes is saying.

Well if they end up on the 6/6A, would be Riverside.

@Dan - Are the TVT's due a refurb soon?
Not a bustimes error - 8347 has entered service at Riverside and is currently on service 57, just seen it at Gateshead.
Go North East Optare Versa 8347 | YD63 UZN seen at Blaydon working a 12A to Newcastle.
