Arriva spring to mind, reckon in could be a contender for being the replacement of the Solars when the time comes
Christ, that's definitely in the running for ugliest single decker!
Some interior shots and an outside view

After looking at it a bit more, it's probably safe in second place, behind the E200MMC. At least it doesn't look like it's had a stroke.
It's slightly better looking than Wright's 'stealth' single deckers, but honestly not much ahead.

Also, perhaps I should have specified currently available models
Two buses I cannot stand are the Fiat's and the mercs gct own. They are bloody awful

They aren't exactly what I'd call ugly though, they may be awful, but their design is functional.

Also, it's a bit of a stretch calling them buses Wink
I've heard names my favourite being Postman pat vans or bread vans ?

Here’s a couple of ugly buses in my opinion

First is the Plaxton Primo which looks like it’s been rammed hard at the rear since there’s barely any space between the wheels and the rear panels.

Second is the Wright Streetlite WF, which looks just horrible in my opinion, the DF version is much nicer to look at.

Yea I'll agree on both there

Yeah, the WF Streetlite just looks really awkward
I didnt like GNE's 5337/5338,those are ugly, but not as ugly as the buses you guys have mentioned
If you want ugly try the sunsundegei SC5/SC7 they look like a deformed levante ( just to put it out there I do like caetano levantes as they look and sound good, just not sunsundegei SC5s/7s look like deformed levantes)
Wow there lovely to look at hah!

John Bickerton who recently announced he's joining Arriva (was previously head of Engineering and Innovation at Reading Buses) to work on the move to low carbon put a tweet out about it earlier, so potentially.

I can't see GNE going for them, Martijn seems very keen on ADL products (and Yutong for low-carbon/electric). Stagecoach NE, it would be a shock if Stagecoach ordered non-ADL - however they do have some MCV bodied B8RLEs on order for Orkney.
I could see GNE own one as a demonstration to see if they think it would suit some route that needs an update. Tbh seeing these would be perfect for the QuayLink Q1/Q2

Stagecoach seem to have got over their recent aversion to Scanias, as West are currently taking delivery of twenty-one Scania double-deckers for use in Gloucester.

Whether that stretches to taking the new single-decker is another matter .....
