Get in another rally. Wonder how this one will be used as Whitly Bay is really small
Also they have announced this quite late. Its next weekend

There's never normally many vehicles there, and its largely weather dependent.
But at least its a decent place to go to for a couple of hours and you're not fixed to attending the rally.
Yea. Whitly Bay should be back in the car park but it will get a few attendees. It has over the years apart from 2017..Jesus was that a terrible event. But they are restricted on where they can park as I got told they can't have many buses on the grass as the council have told them no

No, the rally will happen regardless. I mean that turnout has been largely subject to weather in previous years.
I didn't think Durham was gonna be good. But my god was I proved wrong. Whitly Bay will be good

Update on the Website
This event will take place on The Links opposite Bournemouth Gardens car park.
It will feature a selection of classic buses on display, trade stands and a free bus service around the local area.
The free bus service which is provided thanks to our partners Go North East, will head south along the seafront to Tynemouth before returning to the rally site along the seafront.
To travel to the event by public transport catch Go North East services 1/1A or 309 which stop next to the site.
Looks like no Stephen Railway museum trip this year

Wonder If that'll be 6101
Possible. Wonder what gne will take this time

The FPF will be happy with that!
Have they said what will be operating it?
No. But I think this is if you want to see a convoy of buses going to a rally. Think it probably shows maybe Nebpt will have more buses attending

Let's just hope the weather does take a salty downturn over the next few days.
Durham was meant to be terrible for weather. It what. Rained from 8 to 9 and was really sunny after that
Looks like no entires are going up on the website.
Surprised that no entires appeared on the Durham rally page. Looks like it's just a see what turns up
Not a huge turnout today, but for those interested, the following vehicles are in attendance - all as static exhibits:

Northern Routemaster PCN762
London Routemaster 510CLT
PTE Atlantean GBB516K

Just a query, the Express link Olympian had the high back seats done in what appeared to be the new red GNe moquette. This vehicle never had the high back seats, have these been sourced from another vehicle ? Have to say its immaculately turned out

From what I heard. Saltmedows did the work. I'm guessing whoever owns it thought to add them seats or maybe there was another reason

I didn't notice the interior to be honest, but totally agree its immaculate. It's the first time I'd seen it since being restored.
The owner has done a superb job with it.

Did it not have dp seating from new?
Struggling to remember what that one was like inside.
Either way, looks cracking.
I'm not 100% sure I think johnsons of redfern had it before it was preserved but cant remember the seating. I know the other expresslink vehicle C522LGR had those seats.

Found some images of it. Unfortunately this is the clearest I can see the interior.
