It'll be the Citaros. the 4 where the GNE 2016 Citaro is listed on bustimes.

It is the more likely batch. I don’t think they will keep that debranded 9 livery longer

Also they shown  Citaro in the Blue livery on the S&D brands when Martijn tweeted what other brands were coming alongside Violet, Cherry and Berries

But that was before the 15 change was permanent

That has nothing to do with Blue. That would only have a PVR drop of 2. The Blue 61 needs 4

I'm sure the drop was 4 vehicles from the Prince Bishops.

I thought that too.

They lost 4 when it went to every 12 and another 4 when it went to 15

I've worked out the PVR as 13, so that leaves 3 spare from 16 Prince Bishops. They can prob easily repaint a roadstripe example to make up the numbers.

It looks like the 61 has lost the S&D branding and will just be in corporate livery

I'd the 61 PVR is 4. Why can't they just paint the Violet Citaros blue

Before on the website they had the 61 with the Sunderland & District Blue branding beside it, now its just red.[attachment=10157]

What's the obsession with painting 13 year old Merc's.

Theres enough buses so they can be withdrawn or used as spares with PVR cuts allover the place and numerous spares which haven't been used for ages at Deptford covering for painting and the covid extras. 

5411 - 5428 - 5/9/24/26
5429 - 5437 - 20
8339 - 8342 - 61
5438 - 5441 - Spares

That's more likely and makes more sense.

If they wanted to use the Violets, they could just change the stickers on the side to say Ryhope and Murton rather than Doxford International and Houghton le Spring.
