2861 has been on the 58 everyday since July 15th, 2834 and 2857 seem to have been escaping onto the 56 recently which is still a fair trek, regardless they're seemingly much more reliable than Ashington's examples.

In fairness Durham is the outlier here, they were only shipped out of Darlington as the local MP was sick of the reliability problems there, they're awful at Ashington and they're even worse at Whitby where there's 1/5 for a PVR of 2 on the road today and that stopped tracking at 9.20am so could very likely be joining the other 4.
Not to mention the Enviro 200's have been filling in for them for ages now, when they used to be used more. They're shot and need removing asap imo.
Mind it'll be interesting if they go to the scrapyard or end up going to Arriva's dumping ground of Kent / Essex to see off 19 year old MPD's down there.

2860 lasted all of 10 mins on the 96 this morning and it hasn’t ran for the rest of the day… after yesterday’s half day that’s pretty bad. It would seem Redcar are down to 0/4 working Solos now…

Wasn't sure whether that actually broke down or was a tracking error. Must say GCT get slated for not running services but the 95/96 are barely useable lately with cancellations almost daily. Appears the 96 just hasn't ran at all today.
Haven't they got 5 Solo's though? 2860 / 2862 / 2863 / 2866 / 2870? Unsure on the state of 2862 as it's been VOR for weeks now.

The 96 being a contract makes it worse… the 95 is at least commercial but you can get a big bus round 95% of that.
2862 is withdrawn along with 2871. That leaves them with 60, 63, 66 and 70 for two boards… and they can’t even manage that

It's poor mind I must say, I know I go on about the Solo's, a lot, but they really need to bite the bullet and invest in something that can actually do the services. What, I don't know, but they're not fit for purpose it's not as if they need that many to get the remaining lot out excluding 2601 - 2603.
Ashington (5) - 57/57A + Spare
Durham (4) - 58 + Spare (Could even upgrade to full size bus?)
Whitby (3) - 95/96 + Spare
Darlington (2?) - Replace remaining Solo's
I'm sure the lads down in Tunbridge Wells will be over the moon to have another journey down in some of them, they must've been gutted when they got up here and found out what they were in for
Even GCT can manage to get a nice fleet of Enviro 200 MMC's and excluding the 57/57A and 95 it's all contract work so arguably no different.

2863 has made it to Whitby for the 95. Still nothing active for the 96. They're must be some minibuses around that Redcar/whitby could use for the interim. Couldn't they even hire one from coast and country since they share a depot

Looks like 2870 has appeared for the first 96 today

Two gas buses are now parked in Darlingtons scrap line with not for service posters on windscreen
According to bus time 2834 has now been withdrawn

As has 2866 supposedly, leaving just 7 Solo's with Durham County
-2841/58 at Darlington
-2857/61 at Durham
-2860 at Redcar
-2863/70 at Whitby
Would imagine the ones at Darlington and Durham will go by September with the 52/53/54 loss.

2861 is at Redcar tracking as 2860. Heard rumours that 2860 is also withdrawn
1457 has returned from alpha. Though Facebook posts suggests it's been withdrawn

Not withdrawn. Had chassis repair, will be back in service soon.

1428 & 1923 also off for the same reason. Good to hear they’re repairing them!

1923 won't be repaired. That one is withdrawn.
1428 will come back though.
I'm guessing Streetlite 1593 is not withdrawn. But does anyone know where it is and what's up with it? Seems to have been VOR since 7.3.23. Perhaps it's a Christmas Tree?

I know what’s up with it, a driver blew it up, but apparently it went with quite a bang, so I’m guessing it’s somewhere getting repaired

It’s been on road test from the engine shop at Durham last week

Who's the source of information, or are you finding it out from the bus tracker sight
Long withdrawn Solos 2865/68/69 have now been removed from the yardzat Darlington, presumably to scrap. All 14 gas buses remain stored there though awaiting their fate.

The gas buses have now been written off, so you will start to see some disappear to scrap or cannibalism pretty soon.
Wasn't an option to touch them until they had been formally written off.
I suppose this kind of fits in here but I might be missing some buses in the fleet but why was 1776 - 1797 skipped with the MPD's. Something in the back of my head says something was allocated but they never went into service but can't remember what they were.
I know there was the B6's from Glasgow that never got into service but don't believe it was them.

1776-89 were used by step-entry Darts in the Scotland West fleet when their fleet was renumbered into a join system with ANE. 1790-2 were used for the 3 MPDs delivered in early 2006 to Hexham (90/1) and Jesmond (92). 1793-9 were used for the Mini Darts which joined the fleet from First Stop Travel - 1795/6 were the two ALX200s, the rest were all MPDs.

Thanks for that, I knew it had something to do with Scotland West just couldn't remember what it was. Miss numbered the higher end but did wonder where those random Darts came from especially 1799 with the nasty Urban 90 seats.
