That was the plan, as openly promoted by GNE on-bus (posters, next stop AV screens) and off-bus (social media etc).

There has been an EE network outage causing issues with Ticketer meaning that this fares increase didn’t happen from Sunday as planned.

The fact tracking is now live again suggests the EE issue has been resolved and presumably the fares increase will follow.

The two buses I’ve been on this morning (early start and still no car!) and both are only taking £1 singles
Have the fares increased yet or not? I need to know for tomorrow for a day ticket.

Not in the app at least. Buy the ticket now and activate it tomorrow?
Still going through as the old prices, driver on the X21 said the prices still might not update for another day or two.
Got the 310 today, was charged £4.30 for the N.Tyneside+Newcastle day ticket, still the old price
I wonder when the prices will go up? I was on the 84 today and bought a City Of Sunderland Saver and was charged the old price of £4.30.

They were supposed to come into operation last Sunday, but because Ticket had issues with EE they didn't.
