What are your thoughts on the Brand New E400 EV & E100 EV. https://twitter.com/CBWtweets/status/158...86465?s=20&t=PBnM9Kqyw0OMkIvKKeQyEQ

Personally I don't really like it. I prefer the MCV designs for atleast their single decker

I hadn't realised Peugeot started building buses!
The E100 EV is ugly, but a massive improvement from the E200, which looks like it's having a stroke
I think the E100EV is to compete with Optare Solo etc

Doubt it, the Enviro 200 MMC shortest length is just a MPD anyway.

Also they're ugly like most new buses. Try too hard, Pulsars and Geminis are much nicer looker buses than anything that's come after.

All ADL buses are ugly pretty much for the last 30 year.

Tbf I like the Look of the E400MMC, but the E200's are awful looking, so is the E300.

Theres nothing worse than the MCV Volvo BZL.

I think the StreetDecks look nice, but their new G3 single deckers or whatever they call them are awful.

Aye they're not too bad to be fair, it's the inside of Enviro's I really can't stand. The cheap plastic feel isn't nice and they just rattle like hell.

Hate StreetDeck's personally though, the low windows upstairs just don't like right and they don't offer anything good either bar a cramped interior. More windows, the better imo. Well as long as they're not curved like the Central Line Tube Trains (1992 Stock) which make them like a green house.

I wish the Streetdecks had the E400 Tables + plug sockets and actual cupholders, that would be perfect.

I do find the streetdecks quite cramped which is why I tend to sit either downstairs next to the steps, or upstairs are the front/tables, however I hate when 1 person sits at a table tho, they're more than entitled to they picked that seat but I just think its quite inconsiderate. Personally I wouldn't, Im not a massive fan of only two people, except when I know the bus is going to be dead, like the 20:20 X10 that is always dead for some reason.

If that makes me inconsiderate then so be it!

I personally find the StreetDecks more spacious upstairs, but I guess that's just down to the fact the E400s are low height.
Plus, the higher windowline means you actually get somewhere to rest your elbow.

I wonder why GNE didn't opt for low height StreetDecks when they ordered the 3 E400 originally.

Honestly the StreetDecks are quieter in my experience too, E400 just rattle (i think i might have complained about it a while ago).

Whats the cost price of an E400 MMC V Streetdeck?

I think the reason was the low height E400s offered more interior headroom than the low height StreetDecks, and I think in terms of cost they're pretty much on par
Also I quite like the Irizar Trambus or whatever its called, its different and I think their are routes which suits the bus, for me it would be more of an intercity bus such as the Q3.
According to ADL FB Page

Our new electric buses will be on the road next year: the Enviro400EV is the crowd-shifter, a double decker to move large numbers of people on busy urban corridors and interurban expresses, while the Enviro100EV is the big small bus, a midibus that is just 8.5m long and 2.35m wide yet engineered with the same care and attention to durability and detail as a bigger vehicle.

So it seems the E100EV will only come in one size, they would be prefect for the tynedale services.
