Hi,
Is there any published table of the standard one way/return fares between 2 points for ANE buses online?
The journey planner section of the app/website only shows the various day pass options, and I was hoping to see which was better for my planned journeys before actually boarding the bus. (I assume where I just needed a single that would always be cheaper than the day pass ...?)

I use the version for GNE and they seem to be accurate, but not sure how accurate these are.
Im assuming where there is a blank space on the adult returns this means that a day ticket would be cheaper? As that was always the case when i use to travel to hazlerigg and back on the 44.
Why don't Companies like Arriva or GNE have the single and return fares on their websites? Is it to push day ticket sales? It can be quite hard to find fare tables and bustimes aren't the best for this and for the regular passenger they might not know the link to the page.

GNE had the singles/returns on the website until they updated it, according to MG it was a priority to bring them back, but I doubt that'll happen now. Considering other operators that use the same platform have fare calculators on their websites, it's possible but they're choosing not to at this point.
Arriva have the singles on their website when you go through the route finder. Although, I just checked for the journey I just did and it is claiming the journey would cost £2, despite it only being £1.50, so I'm wondering if they're just blanket applying the £2 cap.
Yeah I think they are just blanketing the £2 cap. I put in Morpeth - Stobhill which is £1.90 and they are suggesting it is £2.

The trouble with the Bus Times fare finder is you have to know the name of the nearest named for both ends of the journey, which may not necessarily be what you expect as not all stops are listed.
Plus, there's no search, it's just a drop down, which is fine on desktop as you can just type and it'll sort of work, but on mobile you have to scroll, and it isn't in any particular order!

That's one of the main things that annoys me. Mainly for large operators like Stagecoach of GNE. It is a bit better because Arriva is separated into Northumbria and Durham but it is still annoying when you have to scroll down a list or read a fare table which has the Destinations in random order

I just go to the actual fare chart - thousands of them on there across the country! All of the Arriva ones are either Arriva Durham or Northumbria - though it helps if you know how they number their services!

Try doing that with GNE, they've got like 50 different types of fare to choose from!
