Rotala have agreed to acquire..
35 x 12.1m Volvo B8RLE MCV eVoRa Diesel Euro 6 
25 x 10.8m Volvo B8RLE MCV eVoRa Diesel Euro 6 
2 x 10.8 Streetlite Ultroliner Euro 6
That's a big order.

Which services will they go on?
Probably just going everywhere, Diamond Bus/ North West/ South East & Preston Bus.
All for North West bar the two Streetlites which are WM bound

Two Diamond Double Deckers have hit bridges within 48hrs of each other, 20 Plate and an Ex-Arriva 16 Plate. Third bridge hit in 3 years. Apparently one of them has  beeping through the ticketer ticket machine but the bus was tracking as a citaro.

A Rotala E200 YX62DHY had its entire wheel come off in service yesterday..not the first time.

Think that may be the third case of that within Rotala.

When Stagecoach moved into north Bristol, they picked up nine Rotala vehicles as well as the routes.  All were in service just before the transfer.  Immediately afterwards S/C drafted in replacements while the nine were overhauled.  The first one took over a year to be brought up to a standard S/C would accept.  Of the nine, three were deemed to be too far gone to even be worked on, and were withdrawn.  And they had all apparently been "serviceable" just a few days previously .....

I hate to speculate but the recent crash in manchester apparently the driver was reving before he went into the building, perhaps the handbrake slipped off

Its not uncommon for drivers to rev at bus stations

Its not uncommon for drivers to rev at bus stations

It is quite easy for a driver (not just a bus one) to have an incident by pressing the wrong pedal - thinking your foot is on the brake but it is in the throttle.

Apparently between April 2010 and January 2022, TfL has identified 244 incidents involving buses relating to pedal confusion.

True, maybe they should be on different sides.

As well if youre putting your foot on the accelerator thinking its the brake and you start going faster your only going to step on it harder
