Unless something changed the whole article is just wrong.
Whether they could do a full days service is probably fair though, the 63 is quite a fast route so the buses will do a fair few miles in comparison to other routes which seem to have issues as it is in the winter especially at Riverside.
Where on the route, is it fast? I can think of a tiny section at Wilton, where there's a section of dual carriageway.
The 63 drops off and on, so doesn't get the chance to get up a head of speed at all.
Other than that, it's pretty urban aka 30mph tops.
Unless there's somewhere I've completely missed.

Yeah your right actually forgot there's a road through Eston and you don't use the bypass (used to that route) which makes it feel longer than the Wilton bit is.
Mind an average 30 mph is quick compared to a lot of the routes they're on up here.

The 63 has one section where the bus gets up to 50MPH (off peak) lucky to get upto 30MPH at peak time for a whole of 2 miles with a stop in the middle where the bus comes off the road, the rest of the route struggles to get above 20MPH with traffic, junctions, roundabouts and stopping at every stop. Couple this with the operating length of most 63 boards being very similar to other operators using electrics pushes people working on buses in the Teesside area to think there may be other plans for the depots across Teesside…..

Aye that's true, keep forgetting that it's not a car and has passengers. Haven't heard anything about these depots but going to assume the some rumours are some form of a superdepot somewhere?
