That looks rather smart, and I never expected to say that about an E400!

That's smart

Will probs go on the 21 and 58? (Can't remember if it was the 57 or 58 getting new electrics)

58 is getting electrics at some point, at the same time as the X66.

I agree, it looks smart.
Nothing has been confirmed in regards to what has been ordered, if anything yet but I would expect an order of the Yutong U11DD for the 21/58.

I am curious with the recent allocation of double deckers to the X66 whether singles or doubles will be ordered, personally think the latter would be the better option.

Sure it was singles (what they ask for in the funding bid) for the X66 and deckers for the 58... both will probables Yutongs.

Does the X66 need deckers on a weekday, as I would of thought they would only be needed on a Saturday and towards Christmas although I haven't been on the X66 for years so honestly wouldn't know the passenger numbers.
Personally I'd be very surprised if it's not Wright Electroliners for the deckers as part of this - https://wrightbus.com/en-gb/wrightbus-go...toric-deal

The singles who knows, Yutongs would make sense for fleet reasons though but I wouldn't put it past them to have another microfleet because why not.

The stories I seen for these was mainly for buses in London, the South and East Yorkshire and that was all that was mentioned?

It's for the ZEBRA2 bids, according to that.

https://newsroom.go-ahead.com/news/the-g...-in-the-uk - and that's all the vehicles which add up to 201 which include Riverside.

The 21, who knows though, but I'd doubt they'd have 2 different decker fleets.

Aye who knows, have a feeling they might be involved. Seems a bit bonkers to make a massive order then buy something random for one area which makes a loss

Who knows though. Wonder if the very few buses outside London might be the 21 examples?

It's happened before and depends on what's available at the time. If GoNE had've waited one year later to order for the 56 or Cobalts, they would've likely chosen StreetDecks over fuel hungry B9TL's. Although given the quantity and the fact they were going end of life including the end of Euro 5, GoNE would likely have gotten large discounts of Volvo & WrightBus.

Not a bad move looking back as the Percy Main examples will still have plenty of life in them for another 5-7 years of frontline work and probably Deptford's examples won't be too much worse off either.
