Wonder if we'll see a full new design of the brand, as we've had the current one a while now.

Forgot about that opening, hopefully it does.

Bendy bus around the Sheepfolds area Wink

Nevermind the Sheepfolds area you'd never get a bendy bus out of St Marks Road onto Chester Road (next to the Precinct Accommodation). The solos struggled and deckers still struggle daily - it's just an awfully designed corner of a junction into a one way system, on one of Sunderlands busiest roads.

I was once on a 702 as a Streetlite and that involved a bit of reversing to Manover.

Saying that coming off Chester Road after the Uni (towards City Hall) can also be awfully tight for the deckers.

I remember the days when Jolly buses used St Mark’s Road! Showing my age  Smile
I've had full size singles on the 700 (Mercs, Versa, Scania and Streetlite) and whilst doable, there are some 'tight' bits. From memory, turning left under the low bridge at St Peters Metro station, roundabout at Roker seafront in the summer if it ever goes back down there, turning left into Sunniside if there are cars parked in the loading bay and turning left out of St Marks Road.

Does the university contribute to the running costs of the Sunderland Connect services? Are the Student Uni minibuses still a thing?

Student Uni minibuses still operste but they are mainly for areas 700/701 dont access, such as Scotia Panns accommodation and the Forge Accommodation.

Im sure the Uni are part of the tender process for 700/701
