They use the full, official names associated to the stops that they use on the PDF exports and website timetables, hence why the arrival stand is shown.
GNE haven’t produced stylised PDF timetables or leaflets since earlier this year.

I noticed that, they should bring them back though as the black and white ones are very basic.

I agree, I much preferred the professionally designed versions!

The below services should have printed timetables onboard. Any services that are changing next month will have some soon too.
Over the next few months, all services will eventually have them

Why, when it's fait accompli?
Surely you engage and consult
prior to registering changes, not after the event.

Of course - but don't be soo silly suggesting a company that provides a service for the public dares consult the public!

Least it's at times where commuters can actually get help for once though.
Makes a change from the usual 2pm on a Wednesday in a random supermarket car park which usually happens, reference at Killingworth here when they done that big bus event awhile back.
Since they're renumbering routes, I'm surprised they didn't renumber the 9 to 29, then renumber the current 29 to something else, either way something needs doing about the numbering system as a whole, not just GNE

Should bring back a local numbering system, so like:
1** for Gateshead
2** for Newcastle
and so on.

I agree, totally
2** Sunderland/Peterlee
3** for North Tyneside
5** for South Tyneside
6** for places like Hexham
7** for Stanley/Durham
Can't for the life of me remember where 4** was

4** I think wasn't used on mainstream services, I can remember a few summer services.....413 Blackpool. 421 Scarborough. And 422 Bridlington

Northumberland was 4xx. 414 to Thropton, 441 Blyth to Ashington etc.

414 ,441 was when go north east took over Northumbria, The summer services (413etc) were late 80s early 90s

There was a few exceptions to this rule mainly the longer distance services north of Morpeth carried 5** numbers. 4** numbers were for non transfare services into Northumberland also there was 8** numbers for independent operators and 9** for works services and Metro replacement

Sunderland was 1**
Newcastle locals were single/double digits and wasn't Gateshead a mix of these and 6**?

Thanks for confirming 100%. I knew they existed just was starting to convince myself they didn't touch the PTE area bar a few straddlers but they did.

6** was for western Gateshead likes of Wickham and Blaydon, 4** was for Northumberland non transfare services there were also a few 5** servives that went beyond Morpeth and there was also 8** for independent operators and 9** for works services.

This is on nearly every service, what's down for changes.
Example, the 2 on a Sunday...
I do get your point, but it's not like they commence from different stands at different times. They all seem to leave Stand B (I think that's what it said, idk I can't see the timetable while writing this). No one's really gonna care where in the bus station they get off, as long as it's in the bus station.
Went to roadshow this morning
Extremely poor
There was two signs saying "changes are coming in your area"
No timetables available as they "didn't have them delivered" But said. Available on our website
Asked why the 26 was hourly between Jarrow & South Shields but said more frequently Stagecoach services and York Road has better service and he lauged about the 26 being "improved"
The fact they ain't being very helpful goes to show how much this company has fallen.

Incredible. Run a roadshow about service changes and don't bother to bring any printed material with you...

It's in the live updates section

Not like GNE to keep shooting themselves in the foot...
Someone with a company-issued laptop would be able to answer timetable queries and assist passengers planning their journeys if required. Printed copies of the timetable exports should have been sent out.

Surely they could have printed the artwork to take along?
