8 is showing as both route and tinetable change

Wonder if the 82 might be part of this, there's no new registration for it and I'm sure the 81 is part of the same tender as the 82 so it has to go somewhere. Wouldn't be a bad move extending the 82 to Sunderland and offer some new links imo.

Its only showing a timetable change for me.

The route change is on the bus times registration (but knowing bustimes this may well be wrong)

Been amended now to timetable change only.

Someone must have been finger trigger happy
Wander what change is to the 50
I wonder what the change is to the 84 and 85, as these are the two services in Washington I use the most.

Hopefully merging them with the 2 providing a Sunderland-Washington Circular without the need to change buses.

I'd say something related to route around Ayton as GNE always chop and change this, I think bringing a more direct route between Washington and Chester-Le-Street to improve service reliability and speed the journey up would be of benefit if an alternative was to be provided.

I don't know but I'd imagine it's a timetable change in the evening, they currently interwork with the 82 but that doesn't exist anymore.

The 82 is the real mystery though. Is the 81 running all day now (or part of it) with the 8 dropped down to hourly or something similar? I believe the 81/82 contracts are combined though.

82 has gone to GCT from what I've been told. A new 82A is being introduced as a morning service to replace part of the 83A which is being withdrawn in May

That would make sense then, not ideal for people on the route mind having different operators during the day to an evening and Sunday though.

The 8/25/81/82 mess really needs sorting out properly. What you do who knows but it really needs to be one or two routes which do the same route all the time. It's really confusing for the average punter imo especially more so that the 8 runs on a Sunday on the full route now, so I'm unsure why the 81 exists at all to Sunderland tbh.

Wasn't the 81 to Sunderland introduced when the 8 wasn't going to Washington or Sunderland on a Sunday?

I hope this 82 actually turns up. When GCT had the 82A a few years ago, it just didn't some days. Also wouldnt take contactless either.
Toon Tour starts up again on the 3rd of May, however now only running every hour.

This a suggestion or whats actually happening?
Is the 82 going completely, it hasnt been registered with any operator as of yet. Bus times only shows the 50 for Ayton.

Believe Gateshead Central Taxis have it

Can't find any details on VOSA or bustimes.org about it being registed by them?

There are significant delays at present with the Traffic Commissioner processing manual registrations. Only those submitted via EBSR are being processed in good time.
Do gne actually have changes coming in. Ain't they due on the 11th may and we have had nothing and they are losing two services. We are a few days away from may and nothing. Even stagecoach released there's the other week
GNE's changes are available to see on bustimes.org for me...

Still no sign of the 79 or 82 anywhere, you'd think they would have at least put the registrations up by now.
I can't be sure but I'm sure someone on here said GNE had lost the 82 and I'm unsure about the 79.

Northstar Have the 79, GCT have the 82. Timings on both stay the same.
