No 43 this year? Or just not registered yet? Presumably Liberty Coaches will be running the X21, Northstar hopefully will be running the X18 again this year (possibly the 35 up to Ashington the same as last year) and  I guess Stagecoach will be running the 308 contract.
Liberty Coaches will be running the 43 this Boxing Day. Not sure about the X21.

The 43 is Liberty's only route this year. The 35, X18 and X21 will be run by the same operator.
I think Liberty only have 2 deckers now. The Yellow Omnicity and the Party Bus Dennis Trident, so if they have the 43 they won't be able to bid for anything else. They'll require both to be in working order that day. Maybe their Versa will be the back up.

I thought so. Please say it's Northstar for the 35/X18 and X21.

Stagecoach must be running the 7 and 308 then?

The 43 is contracted for a minimum of 44 seats, with 3x buses, so single decks are permitted.
43 half-hourly? X10/X11, X18, X21, X22 all hourly? Presumably it must be Northstar or Stagecoach for the 7, 35/X18 and X21?

307 and 308 both half-hourly? Stagecoach running the 308?

Based on a recent Northstar post, it would seem they are running the 35 and X18 again this year.

Northumberland's secured 43 will be every 30 minutes with the X10/X11, X18, X21, X22 and 35 running hourly.
43, X10/X11, X18/35, X21 and X22 are Northumberland County Council contracts?

Go North East stuff is all Nexus contracts, apart from the 21 is commercial from Birtley to CLS? Is the 307 a Nexus or Northumberland contract?

All of the Stagecoach routes are commercial, apart from the 7 and 308, which are Nexus contracts?

NCC are contracting the 43/X10/X11/X18/X21/X22/35 yes. Remainder of routes are Nexus, however some operators running some routes part or fully commercially.
Christmas and New Year Timetable 2025 - 2026

No 6 between Newcastle and Burnopfield?
Disappointing that yet again appeals from employers for the X39 to run were ignored

Thankfully stagecoach step up with the 22X
bloody cheek running a " Saturday timetable " on the 24th and finishing sharp! the difference on a morning between a weekday and a Saturday on some services it gigantic!

That is ridiculous.

Look at the X21, X5/X15/ 50/ 65/ X21, The Consett X's.

Some massively lost runs on the morning

It's been a Saturday timetable over the Christmas period (not just Christmas Eve) for like forever hasn't it? Feels like they have anyway
The PDF attached to the Boxing Day X22 page is for the last Metrocentre X22 timetable effective September 2021. You couldn't make this sort of ineptitude up.

I wonder if the recent success of another operator's efforts at the X22 has led to this 4 year old timetable being so close to hand.

Mark my words, Laird will be gone by the end of the year. Masterclass in commercial acumen, much like the famed single deckers on the 727.
The 56 isn't listed under Boxing Day services, but has a timetable if you change the date to 26/12/2025 on the 56 page.

No timetable for the 6, so maybe another operator has it this year?

53 running, but no 54. Can't remember if the 54 ran on Boxing Day in 2023. Don't think it did last year.

306 running this year or just the 307 every 30 minutes? Stagecoach haven't mentioned it and can't see anyone else having it. Be good to see Northstar on it.

Pre covid appears to have been weekday times, Saturday times since.
