At least it suits the livery. Will be intrested to see the other specs such as the Cobalts (If they are doing them at some point) look in the livery.
I do keep thinking that its a B5LH because of there only being 2 New to GNE Gemini 2s in the Fleet Livery before 6043 and use to see 6064/9/70 more. So its something to try and get use to again.

Must say the 2026 livery looks terrible. It's just not working at all. Just looks like random blue blobs as there's not enough space.
Almost like designing your new livery on the one type of double decker which has abnormal space probably isn't the best idea.

Its not the worst of looks. It suits what its been applied onto so far.
The only thing I just can't understand is why the Logos are so big. Specifically the Door side. Also the logo placement on the cab side is such a random place to choose, so low to the floor and then on the edge of the blue.
I'm all for a new look but I think the 2019 Fleet Livery worked best. Its a livery that works on anything
It'll be fun when its applied onto Single Deckers which I can imagine will be come a lot later once more Doubles are done

Have to agree on this, the application of advertisements on 6043 do it no favours either as it covers the majority of the middle section of the Whitle/Blue Shade Stripes.
I cannot see how this livery would work on a single decker either for that matter.

If they are going to retrim all the older seats into this and give the bus a refresh on the outside, i would argue they look more maintained and in better shape than they actually probs are.
Its funny how much the red seats and the Xlines interiors have aged.

Move was needed, the ex London moquette was looking very warn out.
Even the batch of 6149-6162 that I believe are only remaining buses with old blue Go Moquette with the exception of a few versa's are in the same condition as they've not had an interior refresh since arriving in 2018.

I think the Former Saltwell Park Streetlite batch still have the Go Seats as well as the Venture Optare Solos
MalarkeyI caught up with 6043 at Concord this afternoon on the 56 -

I was most surprised that this bus received the 2026 livery as I thought the older buses were still getting the 2019 livery. Do I take it that 2019 re-paints have stopped and all future re-paints will be in the 2026 livery?

They've been doing up some of Washingtons Daimler Streetlites in the 2019 livery still and there is a design for a Streetlite in the 2026 livery on one of the North Tyneside timetables. Might eventually switch the stripes to the new 2026 ones later down the line
5809 now in base Voltra Livery, marks the end of the old style livery.
6325 is the next Angel now in new Corp with internal refurb.

Now Back out in Service
6320 is the next Angel in the 2026 Fleet Livery
6046 is the next in the new livery

So guessing its the Red Kites batch first. Wonder if they'll move onto the Crusaders next then.
Also do wonder when 6376 and 6377 will get repainted as really the Spare X-Lines livery is pointless
dont forget 6153/4 still riding around

How could I forget haha.
I would find it funny if somehow they are the last 2 out of everything to be done up

With a hint of pride on it.

Thats erm
Which 5 year old did this one
Guess that 6050 off to the paint shop since god forbid they have more than one pride livery

Headlights and Wright logo picked out in black, looks much better.
6352 branded for Metrocentre 40 years.
Seems appropriate for bus that spends its time out on the X10 going in and out of Dalton Park

And hasn't seen service since 23rd June, guess it promotes MetroCentre to those living in Peterlee, Billingham, Stockton and Middlesbrough though I doubt many would make the lengthy journey by Bus when they can hop on the Northern Train and be there in half the time.

No doubt GNE will use it on the 10/10A/10B/12 whilst a gutless 4 pot basketcase hairdryer screams and strains up and down the A19.
GNE's distain for the X10 is a joke! Got 12x low height decker boards out of Consett which could easily be reduced at 8x allowing 3x E400MMC to help out at Riverside (6338-40) and still leave 3x suitable spares out of the 11x 20/70 plates to cover the X31/X70/X71.
Yeah not ideal potentially having 4 pot StreetDecks climbing around Sunniside or Whickham & Fellside on the X32/X73, but not half as bad as them on the A19 barely being able to reach 50mph!
