Wear Bus Preservation Group has confirmed it has planning a running day in Chester-Le-Street on 18th October 2026 between 10am-4pm.

I'd seen they amended it earlier today, hopefully goes ahead as planned as I think it could be a good day out if Buses are operating frequently along some of the old Northern/Go North East from Chester-Le-Street as indicated on the poster.

These type of events seem to work well elsewhere so hopefully other preservation groups locally will support them in providing vehicles to operate services as there is great opportunity between Wear Bus Preservation and NNRG to provide a number of Ex Northern/Go North East Buses that served Chester-Le-Street themselves alone.

Just have to be careful with some of the routes, especially if they have one that runs through Pelton where there's a low bridge.
