Hi all
Tomorrow see's another round of rail replacements.
Coaches replace buses between Darlington and Middlesbrough all day
http://www.northernrail.org/pdfs/trackwo..._-_SLB.pdf

Also, between Middlesbrough and Sunderland until 1230
http://www.northernrail.org/pdfs/trackwo..._-_NUN.pdf

Both are Northern Rail routes and are therefore to be covered by First Rail Support. Likely to see operators such as Classic, Compass Royston, Croft Coach Travel, Enterprise Travel, Jim Hughes, M&D Travel, Stagecarriage
This is happening quite frequently lately. What are the line closures for? I've gone out on multiple occasions to catch the SUN-NCL Northern Rail replacements, but not known why they were actually in place.
I personally had no luck in seeing any of the replacements today, but it seems Peter Barclay managed to find one!
Either they were running >5-10 mins late or they were running >5-10 mins early, as I tried on three occasions to get 'em!

Croft Coach Travel's Sunsundegui bodied Volvo B12M, SA02CCY, was utilised on one rail replacement service today.

This weekend sees the blockade of Darlington to Middlesbrough due to the bridge replacement at Dinsdale. Therefore there are coaches running Darlington to Middlesbrough today through to Monday.
Already seen Skelton TIL8177 out.
Another blockade tomorrow

Rail replacement coaches will operate between Middlesbrough and Darlington, Hartlepool, Nunthorpe and Northallerton.
Grand Central will also be providing coaches between Northallerton and Eaglescliffe and between Eaglescliffe and Hartlepool (I'd expect they'll be operated by Classic, keeping it "in house" so to say)

Enterprise Travel were doing a rail replacement service between Darlington and Newcastle yesterday as well.

I'll get some photos in Darlington and Durham next Saturday.
To see what I sighted operating Rail Replacement Services whilst I was in Durham this afternoon, see this album I've created on my Flickr.

I was able to spot most of these on Saturday and Sunday at the Central Station.

My favourite photo has to be the Adamson's Van Hool. Looks really smart.

Quick heads up, if your checking out rail replacements in Newcastle, go to the coach park park behind Jurys Inn. It was heaving on Saturday afternoon.
