Mods: bit work for you.
The existing thread in the Northumberland part of the forum needs to be moved to the Tyne & Wear part of the forum and merging with this one.
Think we all need to read up on County Council border areas in the mean time so that lessons are learned and we don't make the mistake again.

Done! I had thought it was in Northumberland, but looking at the County boundaries, it falls just inside of Tyne and Wear
Henry Coppers might be based in Northumberland though.
Looks like they only cover services during the weekend as I'm yet to see them during the week

They provided two ‘hot spare’ vehicles at Gateshead on Wednesday evening for Go North East while the match was on.

Sunday mate.
Tomorrow is going to be Sunday.
Perhaps Henry Cooper would bid for the 74 or 808 when they are up for renewal. GNE will probably be keeping the Hexham contracts but maybe the electric buses could transfer over to Henry Cooper and they could run the services? Be nice to see them operated by a Northumberland operator.
I've never actually been to Hexham depot.

Highly doubt they will. They seem to be more for School work and a contractor service work (that being the 392)
Last day of Henry Cooper Coaches operating the 392 today. No services will now be operated by them.
Past few weeks Henry Coopers have been operating the 436 service in Morpeth, which is Green Mountain Travel
Ive spotted it a few times when I've got back and forth.
That will explain why i saw a Henry cooper's volvo eclipse in morpeth bus station. i thought it was a school trip or something
Eclipse OBR297 has been reregistered NL60AAY seen on rail replacement yesterday. Wonder if it is due replacement soon

Strange they've kept the Henry Cooper livery. Doesn't look too bad actually. Difficult to catch because the services are infrequent.
Henry Cooper have purchased a Volvo 9700 with the registered of ex B7RLE OBR 297
Seen someone mention these before and I've always wondered are James Cooper and Sons and Henry Cooper owned by the same people or are they two different (assuming family members) companies operating effectively from the same place
Also is the third Coopers based at Bedlington related to the Cooper family above in the past (in the 50's), or is it just a fluke that there's two families with the same name operating nearby?
Anyone know? Always been curious.
Henry Cooper is operated by the Grieves family (think a Grieves married Henry Coopers daughter -
https://www.henrycoopercoaches.com/history/). But all 3 companies are indeed seperate. Cooper is a common name, it's just co-incidence there is 3 operators using the Coopers names.

Thanks for that was pretty sure the one in Bedlington was seperate, just thought it might have been one of those companies formed by an angry son or whatever.
Mind never knew that about the other two, always assumed they were connected since they basically operate from the same site. James Cooper and Son is basically missing online.
