Compass Community Transport's YX09 EUD, Bluebird Tucanna, usually works this service, but has been missing from the streets of the North East recently - anyone have any idea where she is?
Can anyone tell me which duties Compass run for the 37? I know it's peak times, but from when or until when on a Mon-Fri basis?

Same thing for the 515 - which ones are operated by Classic, which ones are operated by Compass?

Classic start at 07.13 with a 515 to Hebburn, arriving back in to Heworth at 07.44 - this then goes on to a 558 departing at Heworth 07.52 arriving back from Seaburn at 09.02. This then does the 09.07 departure to Hebburn, then operating alternate journeys on both the 515 and 558 - with the final Classic operated 515 journey of the day being the 16.12 from Heworth.

Compass start at 08.13, with a 515 to Hebburn, then operating alternate journeys on both the 515 and 558 - with the final Compass operated 515 of the day departing Heworth at 17.17.

Saturday times do differ slightly, but the first 515 is operated by Classic, with the second operated by Compass - this then alternates during the day along with the 558 - ( sorry, I can't help you with the 37 Sad )

Hope you can make sense of it. Here are the timetables:

Cheers Tom. I understood perfectly.
A shame about the 37, but I've got someone who I can ask should nobody in this community be able to help!

Can you answer this one too?:

I've answered it on the GCT page. I've tried looking on Traveline for information about the 37, but it just says 'NEXUS' rather than an operator name.
CCT operate the peak time diagram on the 37, have a look at the timetable and its easy to tell as it runs hourly during the day, with an extra bus thrown on at peaks to give a half hourly service.
Compass operate the 1601 and 1701 trips on the 37 from Galleries to Doxford Park (return at 1632 and 1732) plus the 1801 from Galleries to East Herrington Board Inn.
Thanks to everyone for the help!
Interesting to see today that Compass CT are to take over the operation of Nexus tendered services 23 and 73 from 2nd June.

My instant reaction to the news was that I thought it'd be shared too.

XD, now we wont be able to use our GNE passes on it, well i don't see many people using it now, if they cant use the GNE pass, it will then get passed back to GNE once again....
A new arrival to the fleet...

Anyone got know the timings of the 558/37 and 79 and other services Compass operate. It would be greatly appreciated.

8X
37
38C
79/79A
515
558

Some services are operated by different companies, on alternating boards. See Post 4 and Post 8 for additional guidance on these services.
Does anyone know how Compass get away with operating what vehicles they want on the Nexus provisioned routes? It seems strange considering Nexus dictate the type of vehicle and livery to the likes of Go North East and Arriva.
One of the Solos they use on the 79/79a is shocking on its exterior.
The bodywork is in a terrible condition.

As for the vehicle type and colour - not sure. All of the other operators seems to use a Nexus liveried Solo or standard bodied SPD bar Classic with their random Nimbus on the 168, but it does have a Nexus livery

Sample of a NexusBus contract here if any one is interested: http://www.filedropper.com/minimumcostdocumentfinal

It's just a sample contract that would be signed between Nexus and the commercial operator running the service. It's quite specific in requirements, so I thought it'd be an interesting read for people.

The list I gave were as hyperlinks, so you should have just been able to click the service number for its timetable?

Stagecoach in Sunderland's 8 is on the same timetable as Compass Community Transport's 8X. Part of the route (albeit only a tiny bit) the 8 covers Monday to Saturday daytimes is covered by the 8X on evenings and on Sundays, when the 8 does not operate. Having used the service plenty of times to kill fifteen minutes here and there, it's primarily used by elderly people, hence why Nexus deem it essential for contract.
I can also confirm that the vehicle which operates the 37 on a Monday to Friday evening then goes onto do the 8X on the night.
The first 8X of the evening from the Golden Lion public house (see this photo for a rough idea of what the terminus looks like) starts at 19:05, getting to South Hylton Metro for 19:13. Arrives at Pennywell Road for 19:20. Half hour frequency with a PVR of 1, so timings aren't difficult to work out.

The first 38C departs Park Lane at 20:10 each Mon-Fri evening. Sundays it's on all day (similar to the 8X), starting from 10:10am.

Right I understand it now, cheers Daniel, I've all the timings into a Word Document so I don't forget them.
