I would love to see this go ahead ! I do hope the can get the funds together. I really miss the observation area at Newcastle. Even parking down at the Dinnington side of the runway isn't as good any more, as the hedges have been allowed to grow tall.

The viewing park down at Manchester Airport is great, we try to have a weekend or 2 each year down there so that I can visit the Viewing Park.... and Manchester is much busier!

You had me totally baffled there like. Didn't have a clue you had posted it elsewhere or what this even meant. Just read your post about the route being cancelled, in the airport expansions thread.

Not sure if anyone else clocked it - but on today's Ryanair Krakow rotation there was a Buzz 737 Max 8200 according to flight radar 24
KLM1451 Schipol to Aberdeen was diverted to Newcastle this evening.
Canny transfer time back home!

Flightradar shows a few loops around Aberdeen, before heading south to Newcastle.

But fortunately the passengers got there in the end and they have their vests on now...

Interesting - was this LS?

Terminal was unbearable the other week. So many people just getting hammered because of flight delays; no where to sit. No queues at security though. Was quite happy when my shuttle was called for boarding...

Not sure who it was to be honest. Had a quick look through the link again and I don't think it actually mentions which company it was.

No LS operation  to ACE on a Monday.
The flight  referred to in the article was FR414.
