June 2020 Go North East Photograph by From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been reinstated at Deptford.
April 2020 Go North East Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.
October 2019 Go North East Photograph by With Scania N94UD/East Lancs OmniDekka vehicles temporarily being allocated to service X30, this vehicle has now been displaced from the fleet at Consett. As such, it has transferred from Consett Depot to Deptford.
April 2019 Go North East Photograph by In order to provide a higher-specification vehicle on service X30 (Stanley - Newcastle), this vehicle has transferred from Saltmeadows Road Depot to the Hownsgill Depot.
April 2019 Go North East Upcoming vehicle transfers will see this vehicle re-allocated to service X30 (Stanley - Newcastle). As such; ahead of this transfer taking place, this vehicle has been fitted with free Wi-Fi.
October 2018 Go North East Photograph by Having been required to enter service temporarily in Bluestar's corporate livery, this vehicle has now been taken out of service to enable completion of repaint and fitment of a cab door vandal screen. This example has now been repainted into Go North East's corporate livery and carries the tagline "Never miss your stop | Many of our buses have next stop screens and announcements".
September 2018 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has entered service at Saltmeadows Road Depot, which from Monday 3rd September 2018 has re-opened as an operational depot to house the operation of some Nexus Miscellaneous Works contracts contracts. The depot's bodyshop and stores facility also remains in use at Saltmeadows. As there was not sufficient time to repaint these vehicles prior to entering service; they currently remain in Bluestar livery with Go North East fleet names, but are intended to be repainted on a one-for-one basis in the near future.
August 2018 Go North East Photograph by New to Southern Vectis in June 2007 as fleet number 454, this vehicle was previously in the fleet of Bluestar as fleet number 2454. It was released from Bluestar in line with the upgrade of the "Unilink" services to brand new Dennis Trident 2/Alexander Enviro 400MMC vehicles, which has seen the re-allocation of the current "Unilink" vehicles to service 17 to allow the withdrawal of this batch of Mercedes Citaros. The entire batch have been acquired by Go North East, ahead of changes to Nexus Miscellaneous Works contracts, which has seen Go North East being awarded with over 70 contracts for the 2018/19 academic year. This example has been re-numbered to 5484 in Go North East's fleet.
