April 2020 Go North East Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.
May 2019 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has transferred from the Special Events Fleet to the Driver Training Fleet based at Riverside, although remains available for Private Hire functions on weekends, and when not required by Driver Training.
May 2019 Go North East Photograph by The Tyne & Wear Metro service is suspended between St. James and Wallsend for essential repairs on overhead lines. In order to operate Metro Replacement service 900 in the affected areas, this vehicle has been reinstated in the fleet and has been allocated to the Special Events Fleet based at Riverside. It is also intended for this vehicle to be allocated to the EPCR Newcastle Finals contract on May 11 2019.
February 2019 Go North East Following the entry into service of new vehicles within the Coaching Unit at Chester-le-Street Depot, this vehicle has been withdrawn from service.
November 2014 Go North East A number of older branded double deckers have gained private cherished registration plates; including all four of the "DFDS Seaways" branded vehicles, "Red Arrows" branded 3943, and "Angel" branded 3962/65. "Angel" branded Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 3965 has gained this vehicle's private cherished registration plate of 574CPT, leading to the consequent re-registration of this vehicle to FJ61GZD.
