Following service changes which have resulted in services X7/X8 and X9 all now interworking, this vehicle has lost its sub-branding for service X9 and now carries generic 'Quick links into Newcastle' branding.

As the new X67 service (Middlesbrough to Darlington via Stockton & Hartburn) launches on 26th October, with Stockton Depot requiring two "MAX" branded VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2s to allocate to the service, this vehicle has temporarily transferred from Blyth Depot to Stockton. Once the two examples being refurbished for Stockton (1404 and 1405) return to service from refurbishment, this vehicle will return to service at Blyth.
