August 2017 Arriva North East Due to the short notice termination of the Sainsbury's contract in Whitby, the Sainsbury's Free Bus in Whitby has been withdrawn from Sunday 20th August. As a result, Arriva North East has amended services 94 and 95 to accomodate journeys to and from the store. These services have both been merged together to create one cross town service, operating every 30 minutes between Sleights, Whitby and Eskdale, including the Sainsbury's store. This revised provision will offer more frequent services into the store, up to every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday and hourly Sundays. As such; this vehicle has been stripped of its branding for the store, though is being retained temporarily at Redcar Depot to cover for vehicles away for repaint.
