Having suffered major fire damage, this vehicle has been withdrawn from service at Whitby Depot.

This vehicle has been repainted into Arriva's new corporate livery. The company's new corporate identity, which includes a new logo and brighter colours, will be applied across the group in a phased introduction. The group said a 'cost effective and evolutionary approach' will be taken, which will see the new colours and livery rolled out from Q1 2017 as and when vehicles and other materials are due to be updated or repainted, while the refreshed logo is expected to be introduced from 2018.

Following the end of the seasonal Whitby Park & Ride service, and the resultant PVR reduction, this vehicle has transferred from Whitby Depot to Redcar (in a reserve capacity). It has additionally been stripped of its branding for the "Whitby Park & Ride" service.

This vehicle has moved from Darlington to Darlington (Under Repair), whilst being refurbished and repainted to "MAX" specification.

Due to poor mechanical condition and lacklustre reliability; this vehicle has been returned to Arriva Yorkshire, where it retains the same fleet number. It was internally refurbished with e-leather seating and repainted into the new Arriva fleet livery, whilst at Thornton Brothers, Ashington.

Following service changes which have resulted in services X7/X8 and X9 all now interworking, this vehicle has lost its sub-branding for service X9 and now carries generic 'Quick links into Newcastle' branding.
February 2016 Arriva North East
This vehicle has received "Quick Links into Newcastle" branding, providing additional spare vehicles with generic branding for Blyth's large network of "MAX" specification services.
