Arriva North East has teamed up with Stagecoach, Northumberland County Council and Cumbria County Council to bring customers a brand new and improved 685 service between Newcastle, Corbridge, Hexham, Haltwhistle, Brampton and Carlisle. As part of the improvements to service 685; a new brand (Cross Pennine) has been designed by Best Impressions, which this vehicle has now gained following repaint. It has also been refurbished internally with the leather seats seats featuring the Cross Pennine logo, and it has also been fitted with free customer Wi-Fi as well as USB power sockets.
