Following the end of the Metro Replacement 900 service, this vehicle has returned to service at Darlington Depot.

As part of Nexus' £350m Metro 'all change' modernisation programme, there are no trains running between Tynemouth and Shiremoor in either direction from 19th March until 2nd April, to allow for track replacement work. 8.7 kilometres of 50-year-old-tracks and track beds between Tynemouth and Shiremoor are being replaced so that the new track will last 50 years more. This vehicle has transferred from Darlington Depot to Jesmond, for use on the Metro Replacement bus service.
