From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been re-licensed, but remains out of service.

Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.

Due to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, there is falling customer demand and available resources. Therefore, to ensure operations are as efficient as possible, Saltmeadows Road has been temporarily 'mothballed' as an operational depot, with the scholars services instead operating out of Riverside. As such, this vehicle has transferred from Saltmeadows Road Depot to Riverside.

In order to isolate dual-door configuration buses at Saltmeadows, where they should only be allocated to Nexus Miscellaneous Works services, the scholars contracts at Riverside will now instead be operated from Saltmeadows. As such, this vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Saltmeadows.

Following changes to Nexus Miscellaneous Works contracts, which has seen Go North East being awarded with over 70 contracts for the 2018/19 academic year, this vehicle has been formally allocated to Riverside Depot. The Special Events Fleet, in which this vehicle was previously allocated, now only comprises of three coaches, which still remain available for Private Hire and rail replacement contracts.

Following the cascade of the former "Tyne Tees Xpress" branded Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs after the Masters Golf event, this vehicle has moved into a newly-formed Special Events and Private Hire fleet. This Special Events fleet comprises of various coaches and double-deck buses: these should not be allocated to public services, but will be brought into service to operate Park & Ride contracts, shuttle services, and other services associated with special events. These vehicles also remain available for Private Hire.
