Washington Depot will no longer receive the brand-new ADL Enviro 400s which were on order for service X1. They will now receive the new Wright StreetDecks instead. As such other repaints will now be prioritised, with the batch of StreetDecks for Washington not expected until September. As such, this vehicle has transferred from Washington to Riverside, in a full service capacity (no longer float/reserve), to replace Volvo B7TL/Plaxton President 6939 (PJ02 RAX) which has been sold.

Ahead of the delivery of new double-deck buses for service X1, the existing allocation of Red Arrows branded Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 vehicles are to undergo repaint. To provide cover until the school holidays while these repaints are ongoing, this vehicle has been fully reinstated, in a float/reserve capacity, at Washington Depot.

From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been re-licensed, but remains out of service.

Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.

Due to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, there is falling customer demand and available resources. Therefore, to ensure operations are as efficient as possible, Saltmeadows Road has been temporarily 'mothballed' as an operational depot, with the scholars services instead operating out of Riverside. As such, this vehicle has transferred from Saltmeadows Road Depot to Riverside.

In order to isolate dual-door configuration buses at Saltmeadows, where they should only be allocated to Nexus Miscellaneous Works services, the scholars contracts at Riverside will now instead be operated from Saltmeadows. As such, this vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Saltmeadows.

Following changes to Nexus Miscellaneous Works contracts, which has seen Go North East being awarded with over 70 contracts for the 2018/19 academic year, this vehicle has been formally allocated to Riverside Depot. The Special Events Fleet, in which this vehicle was previously allocated, now only comprises of three coaches, which still remain available for Private Hire and rail replacement contracts.

This vehicle has entered service within the Special Events Fleet based at Deptford Terrace, seeing allocation to the Park & Ride services in operation for the Sunderland Tall Ships 2018 event, covering sites at Deptford Terrace, Downhill, Herrington Country Park, Fulwell and Stadium of Light. As this vehicle is fitted with an LED destination display, it is also expected to see use on the Tall Ships internal site shuttle.

Although originally intended to Riverside Depot for storage until the next Special Event following the end of the Sunderland Illuminations event, this vehicle has instead been retained at Deptford Depot where it is now classed as being "on loan". This vehicle is intended to cover for the "Prince Bishops" branded Wright Streetlite DF/Wright Streetlite Max Micro-Hybrid vehicles which are off service to have an additional opening window installed at Saltmeadows Road Depot, providing better air ventilation following feedback received from customers.

Sunderland Illuminations are back for 2017, with lights spreading sparkle from St Peters Church all along the seafront. Roker Park will be transformed into a Festival of Light, with a Disney theme. The Park will be open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 5 October to 5 November plus every night at half term, from 5pm – 10pm each night. In order to transport visitors to the event; Go North East are operating a special Park & Ride service, numbered 101. The service will run from Thursday 5 October - Sunday 5 November on Thursdays, Friday, Saturdays and Sundays, plus every day during half term week (23-27 October). As such; this vehicle has transferred from Percy Main Depot to Deptford, to operate this special service.

Following the loss of Miscellaneous Works and scholars contracts, this vehicle has moved into a newly-formed Special Events and Private Hire fleet. This Special Events fleet comprises of various coaches and double-deck buses: these should not be allocated to public services, but will be brought into service to operate Park & Ride contracts, shuttle services, and other services associated with special events. These vehicles also remain available for Private Hire.

Following the closure of Gateshead and Winlaton depots, this vehicle has been transferred to the brand new Riverside Depot. Riverside Depot replaces the existing depots at Sunderland Road in Gateshead and Winlaton which date back to the days of the tramways.
