Following the loss of Miscellaneous Works and scholars contracts, this vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot to Chester-le-Street. Though originally expected to be withdrawn from 3rd September 2017; this vehicle will instead be retained until after the Great North Run, to assist in the coverage of extra vehicle requirements for this event (up to an additional 90 buses).

Previously with Go-Ahead London General as fleet number EVL49, this vehicle has been acquired by Go North East and allocated fleet number 3980. It is currently at Thornton Brothers, Ashington, undergoing a pink repaint and full refurbishment.

Following the entry into service of Scania N94UD/East Lancs OmniDekka vehicles at Washington, this vehicle has transferred to Stanley, to allow for the withdrawal of further Volvo Olympian/Northern Counties Palatine 2 vehicles.

This vehicle, which carries a two-tone green and yellow base livery, has arrived into the Go North East fleet. It is currently being prepared for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot.
