Following the loss of Miscellaneous Works and scholars contracts, this vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot to Chester-le-Street. Though originally expected to be withdrawn from 3rd September 2017; this vehicle will instead be retained until after the Great North Run, to assist in the coverage of extra vehicle requirements for this event (up to an additional 90 buses).

Following temporary loan to Riverside Depot, this vehicle has returned to service at Deptford.

To assist in the coverage of extra vehicle requirements over Bank Holiday weekend, which will see Go North East operating shuttle services for the Tall Ships event in Blyth, Cruise Ships, Kynren and the Soccerbus X50, this vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot to Riverside, on temporary loan, providing the latter depot with a further double-deck vehicle.

Previously with Go-Ahead London General as fleet number EVL51, this vehicle has been acquired by Go North East and allocated fleet number 3982. It is currently at Thornton Brothers, Ashington, undergoing a pink repaint and full refurbishment.

This vehicle has been stripped of "Cobalt Clipper" branding and has received a promotional livery for Go North East's "Big Days Out" campaign. This vehicle has received additional vinyls on the cant rail and windscreen to promote the "Red Arrows" X3 service (Sunderland - Newcastle), which runs up to every 30 minutes on Monday to Saturday daytimes.
