From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been reinstated at Riverside.

Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.

In order to isolate dual-door configuration buses at Saltmeadows, where they should only be allocated to Nexus Miscellaneous Works services, the scholars contracts at Riverside will now instead be operated from Saltmeadows. Provincial specification vehicles will instead be allocated to contracts from Riverside, where they are more likely to be allocated to services on the frontline core commercial network between schools, on weekends, and during school holidays. As such, this vehicle has transferred from Saltmeadows Road Depot to Riverside.

Following the entry into service of the former Go-Ahead London General Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs at Stanley; this vehicle has transferred from Stanley Depot to Percy Main, to enable the withdrawal of older Plaxton President bodied Volvo B7TLs.

This vehicle has been treated to a partial repaint into Go North East's new corporate livery. The new livery design is a a lot more eye-catching and features a two-tone base livery, with the traditional key colour of red towards the front of the bus, and non-metallic dark blue towards the back. This example carries the tagline "Recharge your batteries | Many of our buses have power sockets on board"
