Following the completion of DDA / PSVAR modifications on all vehicles, the three DDA float/reserve vehicles (4896, 4897 and 4898) have been absorbed into the main service fleet at Riverside. To reduce the fleet strength towards a lower spare vehicle percentage in the North Division, these three Volvo B10BLEs being absorbed into the main fleet at Riverside has released three further Volvo B10BLEs (4903, 4906 and 4907) to Deptford Depot, allowing the withdrawal of younger (albeit less reliable), more expensive to maintain, Wright Cadet bodied DAF SB120s from the fleet.

This vehicle has received modifications at Thornton Brothers, Ashington, and as such is now DDA-compliant. This means that this vehicle does not need to be withdrawn from service prior to 1 January 2016 (like all other non-DDA compliant single deckers).

Following the withdrawal of the 775 service (Sunderland - Consett) and the restructure of the routes along this corridor, this vehicle has received "Lime" branding, featuring the tagline "cross county connection".

Following the entry into service of Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 5230 (NK55 OLH) at Chester-le-Street, and the resultant release of this vehicle, it has temporarily transferred to Deptford Depot. This vehicle has been repainted into a purple base livery with silver detailing, and has also received "Prince Bishops Swift" branding, for service X20. The branding is very similar to the branding carried by the main vehicles allocated to "Prince Bishops" service 20, with minor differences to differentiate the two different services.

In line with service changes effective 27th January 2008, this vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot to Gateshead. It has also been fitted with a new LED front destination display, but retains the flipdot side and rear displays.
