In line with service changes and the introduction of new brand identities, there were a large number of vehicle re-allocations which took place on Sunday 19 May, the significance of which have been likened to the South Shields and Bishop Auckland depot closures in 2005 and 2006 respectively. This vehicle, now surplus to requirements, has been moved into a float/reserve position in the fleet at Percy Main.

As part of service changes effective Sunday 17th April 2016 which will see the former "Cobalt Connect" branded Scania CN230UB/Scania Omnicity vehicles transferring to Washington Depot, this vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Percy Main, and will be allocated to service 19.

Following the closure of Gateshead and Winlaton depots, this vehicle has been transferred to the brand new Riverside Depot. Riverside Depot replaces the existing depots at Sunderland Road in Gateshead and Winlaton which date back to the days of the tramways.
