Additional hot spares are being deployed in Gateshead this week in case of any increase in demand associated with the opening of non-essential shops. As such, this vehicle has been reinstated at Riverside.

From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been re-licensed, but remains out of service.

Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.

The inward transfer of a number of Optare Solos to Riverside from Percy Main in order to convert midibus services to minibus operation has led to this vehicle being moved into a float/reserve capacity. To be used initially as repaint float vehicles, this vehicle will, longer-term, transfer to Percy Main Depot to assist with the operation of additional seasonal work.

In line with the operation of "Toon Link" services 6 and X31 transferring from Stanley Depot to Riverside, this vehicle has also transferred to Riverside.

In order to improve the customer experience on "Toon Link" services 6, X30/X31 and X70/X71, which all provide links between Newcastle, Stanley and Consett, this vehicle has been fitted with free customer Wi-Fi.

Upcoming service changes will see services X30/X31 and new peak-time service X32 introduced to the "Toon Link" brand, and service 11 removed from the existing "Toon Link" brand. As such, this vehicle has received sub-branding for services X30/X31 (Newcastle - Stanley), ahead of its upcoming transfer to Stanley Depot.

This vehicle, which carries a red base livery, has arrived into the Go North East fleet. It is currently being prepared for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot. Once prepared for service, it is expected that the vehicle will transfer to Stanley Depot.

Following repaint into Go North East's corporate livery, this vehicle has transferred from Hexham Depot to Chester-le-Street. At Chester-le-Street; this vehicle will be primarily allocated to services 13/14, X22 and X25, allowing the cascade of older examples of the same vehicle type to another depot.

This vehicle, which is the first of two new Mercedes-Benz 516CDI Sprinter/EVM VS30 Cityline vehicles for the NHS contract, has been delivered. It is currently undergoing preparation for service at Riverside. Notably; this vehicle was displayed at the EVM stand at Coach & Bus UK, held at the NEC, Birmingham, on 2 - 3 October 2019. This vehicle has transferred from Stanley Depot to Winlaton, to upgrade the "Blaydon Racers" 49 service, allowing the dual-door Wright Renown bodied Volvo B10BLEs currently operating on this service to cascade elsewhere. The vehicle has also been de-branded, so now no longer carries "Red Arrows" branding.
