In order to enhance the quality of service provided to passengers on services 5 and 50, this vehicle has been fitted with free customer Wi-Fi. This contributes towards Go North East's project to upgrade every service in the Washington and South Tyneside areas with free Wi-Fi.

With route branding across the network being reviewed, services 5 and 50 (currently branded "Whey Aye Five 0") are the next routes to lose route branding. This three-quarter life repaint into Go North East's fleet livery reflects the interworking of service 50 with the 5, the fit in of these services in Go North East's network, and the age of the Scania OmniCity fleet. As such this vehicle has now been repainted into Go North East's corporate livery. This example carries the tagline

With the operation of "Whey Aye Five 0" service 50 transferring to Washington Depot as part of service changes effective Sunday 17th April 2016, this vehicle has transferred from Chester-le-Street Depot to Washington.

Ahead of impending cascade due to the arrival of new Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL vehicles which will see allocation to the "Cobalt Clipper" 309/310 services, this vehicle has been repainted into a light blue base livery. It is expected that the vehicle will transfer to Chester-le-Street Depot, where it will see allocation to "Whey Aye Five 0" service 50.

Following the entry into service of new Wright Streetlite DF/Wright Streetlite Max Micro-Hybrid vehicles on "The 49" service 49, this vehicle has been stripped of "Blaydon Racers" branding prior to being released for internal refurbishment and repaint at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn.

This vehicle, which carries a silver base livery, has arrived into the Go North East fleet. It features Wi-Fi, power sockets, and Next Stop Announcement screens, and is currently being prepared for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot. Once prepared for service, it is expected that the vehicle will be allocated to Hexham Depot, for use on the "TEN" group of services.

Following repaint last year, this vehicle has received "The Gateshead Loop" branding, for services 93/94, which operate circular services clockwise and anti-clockwise around Gateshead, Team Valley, Low Fell, QE Hospital and Heworth.
