October 2020 Go North East Photograph by In replacement for Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 3943 (NK05 GZR); this vehicle has transferred from Washington Depot to Deptford, to be primarily allocated to scholars services.
September 2020 Go North East In line with the re-commencement of scholars services for the 2020/21 academic year, and following its displacement as a result of the upgrade of "Crusader" services 26/27 to double-deck vehicles, this vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Washington. Its cant rail and rear boot lid sub-branding for services 26/27 has now been stripped. From Monday 7 September 2020, Go North East will be operating some extra duplicate services on behalf of Stagecoach North East on their services, to aid social distancing around the time of school movements, on their commercial services.
June 2020 Go North East From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been reinstated at Riverside.
April 2020 Go North East Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.
January 2018 Go North East Photograph by From 28th January 2018, Go North East are making changes to a number of services to improve reliability and to allow new travel opportunities. As part of these service changes, Go North East will introduce a new service, numbered 26 and branded as "Crusader". There will be more journeys running between Newcastle and Jarrow, with buses now running up to every 10 minutes on Monday - Saturday daytimes. Between Jarrow and South Shields, journeys will run every 20 minutes as service 27 on the current route via Tyne Dock, and every 20 minutes as service 26 via Primrose, South Leam and South Tyneside Hospital, replacing this section of "South Tyne" services 88 and 88A, offering new direct connections to Newcastle from areas such as York Avenue, Primrose and South Leam. As such, the cant rail and rear branding of this vehicle has been modified ahead of the service changes.
July 2017 Go North East This vehicle has returned to service at Riverside Depot, where it will see allocation to "The Crusader" service 27 (Newcastle - South Shields).
July 2017 Go North East Prior to returning to service at Riverside Depot; this vehicle has received "The Crusader" branding, with sub-branding for service 27 (South Shields - Newcastle).
July 2017 Go North East This vehicle has returned to Go North East following internal refurbishment and repaint into a light grey base livery. The shade of paint is a different colour to the silver previously used on "The Crusader" service 27, with the company moving away from metallic paint colours in favour of standard solid colours, which are easier to maintain and colour-match when panels are damaged and need to be changed. It is currently undergoing preparation for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot prior to allocation to Riverside Depot.
June 2017 Go North East This vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service at Riverside Depot and released for internal refurbished and repaint at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn. The extensive refurbishment work includes, but is not limited to, external repaint; deep cleaning of the interior of the vehicle; renewal of floor coverings; cleaning all seat frames and re-trimming seats into leather with USB sockets on the back of every seat; fitting blue accent lighting underneath seats to provide extra light on the gangway; and fitting Next Stop Announcements.
April 2016 Go North East This vehicle has been fitted with free customer Wi-Fi.
August 2015 Go North East This vehicle has received the new "The Crusader" branding.
August 2015 Go North East Ahead of new branding being introduced to service 27, this vehicle has been de-branded and as such presently carries a plain silver base livery.
February 2014 Go North East Photograph by Following the closure of Gateshead and Winlaton depots, this vehicle has been transferred to the brand new Riverside Depot. Riverside Depot replaces the existing depots at Sunderland Road in Gateshead and Winlaton which date back to the days of the tramways.
