June 2020 Go North East Photograph by From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been reinstated at Riverside.
April 2020 Go North East Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.
April 2015 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has now entered service at Riverside Depot on "X66 Metrocentre" service X66.
March 2015 Go North East Prior to entering service, this vehicle has gained "X66 Metrocentre" branding. The Metrognomes are intu Metrocentre's very own cuddle gnome characters: Herbert, Sherbet, Maggot and Rusty. As part of the new branding, each bus has received one of the four Metrognomes on the front of the bus. This example features Maggot, who has a bright blue beard and looks after the Blue Mall at intu Metrocentre.
March 2015 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle, which carries a dark blue base livery, has arrived into the Go North East fleet, and is currently being prepared for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot. Once prepared for service, it is expected to be allocated to Riverside Depot, for use on service X66 (Gateshead - Metrocentre). It is the Micro-Hybrid version of the Wright Streetlite, which is 11.5m in length. The Micro Hybrid recovers energy lost from braking to power the vehicle electrics and compressed air systems, saving up to 10% in fuel costs. Representing an investment of approximately £650,000, this vehicle features full white LED destination displays and e-leather seating.
