May 2020 Go North East
With an expected announcement from the UK Government on Sunday 10 May to relax some of the current "lockdown" restrictions in the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which could lead to an increased number of passengers travelling on Go North East's bus services, further re-allocations and service allocation revisions are being made, in order to increase social distancing on-board Go North East's bus services. This will include double-deck buses being allocated to services ordinarily allocated single-decks, and single-deck buses being allocated to those services which had been temporarily allocated minibuses for the duration of the crisis. Therefore this vehicle has transferred from Consett Depot to Riverside.

March 2020 Go North East
Due to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, there is falling customer demand and available resources. Therefore, to combat this during these unprecedented times, Go North East has reduced its service levels from Monday 23 March to run enhanced Sunday timetables rather than the full normal weekday output (Sunday service levels, plus some extra morning journeys for key workers, and a small number of contracted school/works services). As such - due to the lower number of vehicles being required at the moment - a number of transfers have taken place to ensure services are operated by the most fuel-efficient, economic and reliable buses. One such transfer is of this vehicle from Consett Depot to Riverside, in order to operate services 6/M6 and allow older vehicles to be delicensed.

After two and a half years of development, the region’s largest bus operator, Go North East opened the doors to its brand new £3.5 million, state-of-the-art Hownsgill Depot in Consett, County Durham, on Friday 15 March 2019. The high-tech operation replaces the company’s Stanley Depot, which it operated from for nearly 100 years. Therefore; most vehicles based at Stanley transferred to Hownsgill on Sunday 7 April, the date from which the new depot commenced operations.

Unlike previous examples in the fleet, they therefore feature a Wrightbus grille on the rear bonnet, providing additional air circulation. Similar to all recent orders, these vehicles feature Esteban Civic V3 seating complete with e-leather; two-colour Tarabus 'Wood Effect' flooring; and blue accent lighting, which is fitted underneath seats, to provide extra light on the gangway.
