After two and a half years of development, the region’s largest bus operator, Go North East, is to open the doors to its brand new £3.5 million, state-of-the-art Hownsgill Depot in Consett, County Durham, on Friday 15 March 2019. The high-tech operation replaces the company’s Stanley Depot, which it operated from for nearly 100 years. To mark this stakeholder event, this vehicle has been repainted into the company's 2019 fleet livery. The new fleet livery maintains the standard Go North East red livery, but with a lighter blue and now also incorporates the old traditional yellow colour, brought back in a modern twist as 'road stripes' to separate the red and blue base livery.

This vehicle has received a promotional livery for Go North East's "Big Days Out" campaign. The campaign, which was originally introduced in the summer of 2017 but will now be ongoing for the foreseeable future, has seen Go North East partner up with a number of attractions and businesses to bring its customers some great family offers. Customers who buy a £10 Family Day Ticket are eligible for discounts at venues involved in the partnership. This bus is one of four which will receive a promotional livery for the campaign - each example is different, with this one having a city theme. The livery intends to raise awareness of this campaign and the company's Family Day Ticket, which permits travel for up to two adults and three children under 16 in all zones. The introduction of this campaign has also seen the ticket price reduce from £13 to £10 on-bus (matching the cheaper price previously on the mobile app).

This vehicle, which carries a red and blue base livery, has arrived into the Go North East fleet. It is currently being prepared for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot. Manufactured by Wrightbus in Northern Ireland, this batch of vehicles feature the latest Euro 6 Micro-Hybrid engines with the cleanest vehicle emissions standards. Unlike previous examples in the fleet, they therefore feature a Wrightbus grille on the rear bonnet, providing additional air circulation. Similar to all recent orders, these vehicles feature Esteban Civic V3 seating complete with e-leather; two-colour Tarabus 'Wood Effect' flooring; and blue accent lighting, which is fitted underneath seats, to provide extra light on the gangway. They also feature free customer Wi-Fi, audio-visual Next Stop Announcement LED internal signs, and USB power sockets on the back of each seat to allow mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets to be charged 'on the go'.
