This vehicle has entered service at Deptford Depot on "Black Cats" services 2/2A (Silksworth - Washington) and 39 (Doxford Park - Pennywell). The Optare Versas currently allocated to services 2/2A are in line to be cascaded to another depot, whilst the Scania L94s currently allocated to service 39 are in line to cascade to services 38 and 61 at Deptford.

Prior to entering service, this vehicle has received "Black Cats" branding. "Black Cats" is the new brand identity being introduced to encompass a variety of different frequent services in and around the city of Sunderland, promoting the cheap and competitively priced day and weekly tickets available for travel in the city (£3.65 for a day ticket, and £12.15 for a weekly ticket).

This vehicle, which carries a light red base livery, has arrived into the Go North East fleet. It is currently being prepared for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot. Manufactured by Wrightbus in Northern Ireland, this batch of vehicles feature the latest Euro 6 Micro-Hybrid engines with the cleanest vehicle emissions standards. Unlike previous examples in the fleet, they therefore feature a Wrightbus grille on the rear bonnet, providing additional air circulation. Similar to all recent orders, these vehicles feature Esteban Civic V3 seating complete with e-leather; two-colour Tarabus 'Wood Effect' flooring; and blue accent lighting, which is fitted underneath seats, to provide extra light on the gangway. They also feature free customer Wi-Fi, audio-visual Next Stop Announcement LED internal signs, and USB power sockets on the back of each seat to allow mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets to be charged 'on the go'.

Ahead of the commencement of the new contract for "Sunderland Connect" service 700, this vehicle has been repainted into a plain green base livery. The three "Sunderland Connect" branded vehicles gained a promotional wrap-style advertisement to celebrate Christmas in Sunderland during the festive season in 2014. Though intended to become the spare vehicle for service X1 at Washington Depot; this vehicle has now entered service at Consett Depot, where it will provide spare coverage whilst Consett's Wright StreetDeck fleet for services X5/X15 (6304 - 6307) undergo partial repaint at Thornton Bros, Ashington.
August 2020 Go North East
Prior to entering service, this vehicle has received "X-lines" branding, with generic sub-branding for express services across the North East. It has also surrendered its original registration, NK20ENN, and has been re-registered as NK70BYU.
August 2019 Go North East
This vehicle has now received "Cobalt & Coast" branding, internally and externally. Externally, this example carries the variant of the branding in the advertisement frames to promote the USB charging points available on-board.
