Following the entry into service of new Wright Streetlite vehicles on "Drifter" service 60, resulting in the cascade of some of the Optare Versas previously allocated to service 39, this vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot to Washington, for use on services W5/W6.

Following repaint earlier this year, this vehicle has now received "Venture" branding. The design has been slightly modified compared to the previous version, now no longer including a large white 'V' in the centre of the "Venture" logo, covering the windows. Although Go North East's fleet comprises of a sizeable number of 90 Optare Solos; Go North East has now received this demonstrator vehicle, which has been numbered 9086 in the fleet. It is the first Euro 6 Optare Solo to feature a Cummins engine, serving as a prototype demonstration model for Optare.
