July 2020 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has transferred from Consett Depot to Riverside; to be used on "Crusader" services 26/27, in order to alleviate overcrowding issues.
June 2020 Go North East Photograph by From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been reinstated at Consett.
April 2020 Go North East Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.
December 2019 Go North East In partnership with Gateshead Council; this vehicle has received exhaust modifications, increasing the Euro standard of this bus from Euro 5 to Euro 6.
April 2019 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has transferred from Stanley Depot to Hownsgill. After two and a half years of development, the region’s largest bus operator, Go North East opened the doors to its brand new £3.5 million, state-of-the-art Hownsgill Depot in Consett, County Durham, on Friday 15 March 2019. The high-tech operation replaces the company’s Stanley Depot, which it operated from for nearly 100 years. Therefore; most vehicles based at Stanley transferred to Hownsgill on Sunday 7 April, the date from which the new depot commenced operations.
March 2018 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has entered service at Stanley Depot. Of the batch of thirteen former Go-Ahead London Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 vehicles to be acquired by Go North East, six are to be branded for the "Toon Link" X70/X71 services, while the remaining seven are to carry Go North East's corporate livery. Three of the examples in Go North East's corporate livery are to be allocated to services 15/15A, and the remaining four act as spare vehicles for the double-deck services based at Stanley.
February 2018 Go North East Prior to entering service, this vehicle has received "Toon Link" branding. A new vinyl has also been added to the first window on the nearside, close by the doors, which promotes the ability to pay by a contactless card on Go North East buses for any single, return or day tickets. As well as allowing the standard VISA and Mastercard credit and debit cards, payment via Apple and Android Pay on mobile devices is also permitted. The vinyl aims to catch the eye of those in a queue boarding the bus, promoting the ease of travelling on Go North East buses, with there no longer being a need to carry the correct amount of change to travel.

November 2017 Go North East Photograph by New in October 2012, this vehicle was previously with Go-Ahead London General as fleet number WVL503 at Putney Garage.It was recently displaced from Go-Ahead London's fleet and purchased by Go North East, in line with the contract for service 22 (Putney Common - Oxford Circus) being retained by London General with a new allocation of 22 Hybrid double-deck vehicles (a mixture of new Volvo B5LH/MCV EvoSeti plus existing examples already in the fleet), from 21st October 2017.Representing an investment of over £1.5 million, 13 of these buses (WVL496 - WVL508) have now been acquired by Go North East. They will be refurbished and repainted at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn, prior to assimilation into Go North East's fleet.As part of the refurbishment at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn, the entire batch will undergo exterior repaint, centre door conversion, fitment of an entrance door ramp, seats re-trimmed including extra padding, seat legs, hand grabs and hand poles repainted, buggy bay created, with free customer Wi-Fi and new white LED destination displays also fitted.Mechanically, this entire batch of buses have been fitted with a new Ecolife campaigned gearbox.
