Armed with a pair of scissors and dressed in his very own bus driver uniform; 11-year-old schoolboy Peter Witham landed his dream job thanks to a heart-felt letter to Go North East's Managing Director, and cut the ribbon at a publicity launch at Crimdon Dene to declare the 14 brand new indiGo buses officially open for business. Following the publicity launch, this vehicle entered service at Peterlee Depot.

July 2015 Go North East
This vehicle, which carries a plain pink base livery, has arrived into the Go North East fleet. It is currently being prepared for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot. Representing an investment of approximately £1,800,000, Go North East has ordered fourteen Optare Solo SR minibuses to be launched on the "East Durham" network of services at Peterlee Depot. The services will be re-branded as "indiGo", promoting connections to Durham, Sunderland, Newcastle, Middlesbrough and beyond. These brand new buses feature Esteban Civic V3 seating complete with e-leather; two-colour Tarabus 'Wood Effect' flooring; and blue accent lighting, which is fitted underneath seats, to provide extra light on the gangway. They are also fitted with free passenger Wi-Fi and Next Stop Announcements.
October 2013 Go North East
Ahead of the introduction of new Wright Streetlite vehicles on "Drifter" service 60 (Sunderland - Parkside), this vehicle has been repainted into a dark green base livery. It is expected that once the new vehicles enter service on service 60, this vehicle will be cascaded to Chester-le-Street Depot, to be allocated to "Lambton Worm" services 34/34A.
October 2018 Go North East
Following brief use at Chester-le-Street Depot, this vehicle has now transferred from Chester-le-Street Depot to Riverside. This should allow the withdrawal of Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 4944 (NK51 OLH), the final 'Euro 4' example of its type at the depot.
