September 2020 Go North East Photograph by In line with the re-commencement of scholars services for the 2020/21 academic year, this vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Percy Main. From Monday 7 September 2020, Go North East will be operating some extra duplicate services on behalf of Stagecoach North East on their services, to aid social distancing around the time of school movements, on their commercial services.
June 2020 Go North East Photograph by With most scholars services in Tyne & Wear returning to operation from Monday 15 June, re-allocations have taken place to accommodate the operation of all of these services. As such, this vehicle has been reinstated at Riverside.
June 2020 Go North East From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been re-licensed, but remains out of service.
April 2020 Go North East Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.
March 2020 Go North East Due to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, there is falling customer demand and available resources. Therefore, to ensure operations are as efficient as possible, Saltmeadows Road has been temporarily 'mothballed' as an operational depot, with the scholars services instead operating out of Riverside. As such, this vehicle has transferred from Saltmeadows Road Depot to Riverside.
January 2020 Go North East In order to isolate dual-door configuration buses at Saltmeadows, where they should only be allocated to Nexus Miscellaneous Works services, the scholars contracts at Riverside will now instead be operated from Saltmeadows. As such, this vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Saltmeadows.
August 2019 Go North East Photograph by Ahead of the new academic school year, this vehicle has transferred from Saltmeadows Road Depot to Riverside.
October 2018 Go North East Annual PSV tests on all of the recently acquired Volvo B7s are being completed by Volvo, rather than locally by Go North East, to alleviate pressure from the local engineering teams at depot level. As this does not include 6010 (V310 LGC) or 6033 (V333 LGC), these vehicles have transferred from Saltmeadows Road Depot to Riverside, with 6924 (LX54 GZB) & 6925 (LX54 GZC) moving the other way, meaning that all of the Volvo B7s at Saltmeadows Road have the PSV tests carried out by Volvo.
September 2018 Go North East Photograph by Following changes to Nexus Miscellaneous Works and scholars contracts, which has seen Go North East being awarded with over 70 of the available contracts, this vehicle has been allocated to Riverside Depot. As this vehicle has not been repainted into Go North East's corporate livery, it is anticipated that this vehicle will see minimal use on normal commercial services.
July 2018 Go North East Following the end of the Sunderland International Airshow event; this vehicle has been withdrawn from service and remains in storage, out of use, pending commencement of the new Nexus Miscellaneous Works scholars/works contracts in September. Further preparation for service will be undertaken during August to bring these vehicles up to Go North East's desired specification: Volvo B7TLs 6901 - 6919 will undergo full repaint into fleet livery and fitment of Hanover LED destination displays, Volvo B7TLs 6920 - 6934 will be fitted with Hanover LED destination displays, Volvo B7TLs 6935 - 6941 will receive Go North East fleet names on the EYMS base livery while 6939 will also be fitted with Hanover LED destination displays.
July 2018 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has been reinstated within the Special Events Fleet to provide transport for the annual Sunderland International Airshow event. The Sunderland Airshow, held from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th July 2018 across the city’s seafront, celebrates its 30th anniversary and includes colourful displays from the Red Arrows, the Typhoons and Spitfires. Go North East are contracted to provide Park & Ride services from sites at Downhill Sports Complex, Fulwell Quarry, the Stadium of Light and Deptford Terrace, with buses running every few minutes to Recreation Park at Seaburn, and Go North East are also operating extra express services from Sunderland City Centre (A1) and Washington (A2).
July 2018 Go North East Following the end of the Tall Ships event; this vehicle has been withdrawn from service and remains in storage, out of use. Most of the batch will be reinstated to provide transport for the Sunderland International Airshow, between Friday 27th July and Sunday 29th July 2018, for which Go North East will provide up to 45 buses for at peak times over the weekend.
July 2018 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has entered service within the Special Events Fleet based at Deptford Terrace, seeing allocation to the Park & Ride services in operation for the Sunderland Tall Ships 2018 event, covering sites at Deptford Terrace, Downhill, Herrington Country Park, Fulwell and Stadium of Light.
July 2018 Go North East Photograph by Following preparation for service, including fitment of a new ticket machine and large "Park & Ride" vinyls covering the old rollerblind destination displays, this vehicle has now been allocated to the Special Events Fleet and is now in storage at Deptford Terrace pending the commencement of the Sunderland Tall Ships contracted services.
June 2018 Go North East Photograph by Previously with Go-Ahead London General as fleet number PVL410, this vehicle has now joined the Go North East fleet. Numbered separately from other double-deck vehicles in the fleet; it is one of a batch of 34 in the process of being amalgamated into the Go North East fleet, for exclusive use over the summer on Special Events and contracts (such as the Sunderland Tall Ships Park & Ride services). Members of the batch will only be retained in the fleet beyond summer if Go North East is awarded Miscellaneous Works Nexus contracts from September 2018. The batch of 15 PVL Volvo B7TLs have been released from Go-Ahead London in line with the contract for service 77 being renewed. The contract was retained by Go-Ahead London General, with a new allocation of 18 brand new ADL Enviro 400MMC Hybrid double-deckers.
