Go North East Fleet Go North East's 6924
October 2018 Go North East
Annual PSV tests on all of the recently acquired Volvo B7s are being completed by Volvo, rather than locally by Go North East, to alleviate pressure from the local engineering teams at depot level. As this does not include 6010 (V310 LGC) or 6033 (V333 LGC), these vehicles have transferred from Saltmeadows Road Depot to Riverside, with 6924 (LX54 GZB) & 6925 (LX54 GZC) moving the other way, meaning that all of the Volvo B7s at Saltmeadows Road have the PSV tests carried out by Volvo.

Following changes to Nexus Miscellaneous Works and scholars contracts, which has seen Go North East being awarded with over 70 of the available contracts, this vehicle has been allocated to Riverside Depot. As this vehicle has not been repainted into Go North East's corporate livery, it is anticipated that this vehicle will see minimal use on normal commercial services.

Previously with Go-Ahead London General as fleet number PVL410, this vehicle has now joined the Go North East fleet. Numbered separately from other double-deck vehicles in the fleet; it is one of a batch of 34 in the process of being amalgamated into the Go North East fleet, for exclusive use over the summer on Special Events and contracts (such as the Sunderland Tall Ships Park & Ride services). Members of the batch will only be retained in the fleet beyond summer if Go North East is awarded Miscellaneous Works Nexus contracts from September 2018. The batch of 15 PVL Volvo B7TLs have been released from Go-Ahead London in line with the contract for service 77 being renewed. The contract was retained by Go-Ahead London General, with a new allocation of 18 brand new ADL Enviro 400MMC Hybrid double-deckers.
