August 2020 Go North East This vehicle has been permanently withdrawn from service at Go North East, ahead of its impending disposal.
June 2020 Go North East Just two vehicles are required to operate scholars services from Hexham Depot currently. As the coaches have not yet been fitted with extra PPE for driving colleagues and Scania CN230UB/Scania Omnicity 5239 (NK56 KHG) and 5240 (NK56 KHH) have been reinstated at Hexham Depot for use on these services, this vehicle has been taken out of service at Hexham.
June 2020 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has been reinstated at Hexham, providing temporary cover on local services to release a seatbelted example for use on scholars services, whilst the coaches are fitted with extra PPE for driving colleagues.
June 2020 Go North East From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been re-licensed, but remains out of service.
April 2020 Go North East Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.
March 2020 Go North East The inward transfer of a number of Optare Solos to Riverside from Percy Main in order to convert midibus services to minibus operation has led to this vehicle being moved into a float/reserve capacity. To be used initially as repaint float vehicles, this vehicle will, longer-term, transfer to Percy Main Depot to assist with the operation of additional seasonal work.

May 2019 Go North East Photograph by In line with service changes and the introduction of new brand identities, there were a large number of vehicle re-allocations which took place on Sunday 19 May, the significance of which have been likened to the South Shields and Bishop Auckland depot closures in 2005 and 2006 respectively. This vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot to Hownsgill, in order to operate Tesco Free Bus services T1/T2.
May 2019 Go North East Upcoming vehicle transfers will see this vehicle re-allocated to Percy Main to be allocated to services 11 and 40/41/42. As such; ahead of this transfer taking place, this vehicle has been fitted with free Wi-Fi.

The new livery design is a a lot more eye-catching and features a two-tone base livery, with the traditional key colour of red towards the front of the bus, and non-metallic dark blue towards the back. This example carries the tagline "It's our fantastic people - all 2000 of them - that make the wheels on our buses go round and round"
February 2017 Go North East Photograph by Following the batch of former Thames Travel Optare Solos delivered late last year; this vehicle has now also been acquired by Go North East, where it has received fleet number 697. It is currently undergoing preparation for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot.
